The jaw crusher is commonly known as jawbreak, also known as tiger mouth. A crusher composed of two jaw plates, a moving jaw and a stationary jaw, to simulate the movement of animals' two jaws and complete material crushing operations. Widely used for crushing various ores and bulk materials in industries such as mining and smelting, building materials, highways, railways, water conservancy, and chemical engineering. The high compressive strength of the crushed material is 320Mpa.
The jaw crusher is mainly used as a coarse crusher and a medium crusher in mining, building materials, infrastructure and other departments. According to the width of the feeding port, it can be divided into three types: large, medium, and small. Large machines have a feeding port width greater than 600MM, medium machines have a feeding port width between 300-600MM, and small machines have a feeding port width less than 300MM. The jaw crusher has a simple structure, easy manufacturing, and reliable operation.
The working part of a jaw crusher consists of two jaw plates. One is a fixed jaw plate (fixed jaw), which is vertically (or slightly outwardly inclined at the upper end) fixed on the front wall of the machine body, and the other is a movable jaw plate (movable jaw), which is tilted in position and forms a crushing chamber (working chamber) with a fixed jaw plate, which is larger and smaller in size. The movable jaw plate undergoes periodic reciprocating motion against the fixed jaw plate, sometimes separating and sometimes approaching. When separating, the material enters the crushing chamber and the finished product is discharged from the bottom; When approaching, the material placed between the two jaw plates is crushed by compression, bending, and splitting.
Jaw crushers can be divided into simple swing jaw crushers (simple swing jaw crushers) according to the different swing modes of the movable jaw plate. There are three types of complex swing jaw crushers (compound swing jaw crushers) and comprehensive swing jaw crushers.
Classification of jaw crushers:
As for jaw crushers, although their structural types are different, their working principles are basically similar, except for differences in the movement trajectory of the moving jaw. In summary, when the movable jaw plate undergoes periodic reciprocating motion around the suspension axis towards the fixed jaw plate, sometimes approaching and sometimes leaving. As the movable jaw plate approaches the fixed jaw plate, the ore between the two jaw plates is crushed by the combined action of crushing, splitting, and bending and breaking; When the movable jaw plate leaves the fixed jaw plate, the crushed ore is discharged through the discharge port of the crusher under the action of gravity.
Working principle of jaw crusher:
When the jaw crusher is working, the movable jaw plate undergoes periodic reciprocating motion against the fixed jaw plate, sometimes approaching and sometimes leaving. When approaching, the material is crushed due to compression, splitting, and impact between the two jaw plates; When leaving, the crushed material is discharged from the discharge port by gravity.
In the process of breaking large stones into small ones, one crusher is usually the "main" crusher. The long and sturdy crusher is a jaw crusher. When feeding the jaw crusher, the material is poured into the crushing chamber containing jaw teeth from the top inlet. The jaw teeth use tremendous force to push the material towards the chamber wall, breaking it into smaller stones. The support for jaw movement is an eccentric shaft that runs through the fuselage structure. Eccentric motion is usually generated by a flywheel fixed at both ends of the shaft. Flywheels and eccentric support bearings often use spherical roller bearings, which withstand huge impact loads, corrosive sewage, and high temperatures.
